EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED!
Though I haven't yet washed them, I received three of these Stretch Cargo Shorts and they're so good that I ordered another four without the cargo pockets for a more formal look. The right cargo pocket has a quick entry slit - a separate pocket for cell phone. Both rear pockets have a button closure and the material is worthy of a $60 short. The waist has at least 2" worth of stretch and I'm glad I was able to snag 7 before they all disappear.

waist with the most
I purchased the hidden expandable shorts for my husband last year.... they wash and wear very well. We all seem to gain and loose weight daily, weekly, monthly..... My husbands weight has primarily to do with Cancer. I have recommended to any and all ... now I am finding in womens' wear as well .... I wish I had come up with the idea of this waist.

Great shorts wish I could buy more
I actually picked up these shorts in Lancaster during a recent trip. However they only had one pair in my size 34. Saleperson said whenever they are in stock, immediately they sell out. Only have one pair but also one of the best shorts I own!

Very comfortable, but
I posted a review about the stretch cargo slacks cautioning about the waist sizing and shrinkage after laundering in cold water; well these shorts of the same basic material as the slacks kind of followed suit as the slacks. The waist was my normal size but had it not have had stretch they would have been too snug. Haggar customer service promised that the waist would be normal sizing and would stretch from there but this was not the case. The hips and legs fit great and the matrial is very comfortable so I kept them but hope the shrinkage is over with any upcoming laundering.
